Our commitment
LiftAndBake is committed to making this Site accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technology. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, recognized as an international standard for web accessibility.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate easily.
- Provide alt text on recipe and content photos.
- Maintain sufficient color contrast between text and background.
- Use keyboard-navigable menus and buttons.
- Label form fields clearly.
- Provide text equivalents for important non-text content.
- Test new features for accessibility before publishing.
What we're still working on
We're actively working to improve:
- Captions and transcripts on video content (we add captions as videos are added).
- Image alt text on older posts (being audited and updated continuously).
- Ensuring third-party plugins and embedded content meet accessibility standards.
We treat accessibility as an ongoing process, not a one-time fix.

The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). If you encounter issues with a specific browser or assistive technology, please let us know.
